    1. How does the Referral System work?

    As a Job Seeker:

      1. Sign Up as Job Seeker if you are looking for Referrals.
      2. Sign in and create your profile.
      3. Browse through your dream companies to search for the available referrers.
      4. Request for referral - write a brief message to introduce yourself, mention the job is and job title for which referral is required, upload your update CV and submit your request.
      5. You should expect response from the Referrer in 3 days.
      6. Connect with the Referrers through Messages or Virtual Meeting.
      7. Apply for the job on respective companys website once your request is accepted by the Referrer and referred on their companys portal.

    As a Referrer:

      1. Sign Up as Referrer if you want to help someone to get their dream job by referring them in your company.
      2. Sign in and create your profile.
      3. Access the requests queue and respond them - Accept / Reject / Schedule a Meeting.
      4. You need to respond to the requests received from Job Seekers in 3 days. Else it will get marked as Ghosted.
      5. Connect with the Job Seekers through Messages or Virtual Meeting if you wish to gain additional information from them.
      6. As a Referrer you can also browse for the candidates if you are looking for hiring someone.
      7. As a Referrer you can also post any active job openings in your company if you are aware of any of them.
  • 2. How do I signup on Refermeet.com?

    The signup process is straightforward. Depending on your intent, choose either the job seeker or referrer option, provide the necessary details, and follow the on-screen instructions. After registration, verify your email to fully activate your account.
  • 3. As a Job Seeker how do I request a referral?

    You need to sign in to your Refermeet account and search for the company in which you are looking for the referral. Upon clicking on the desired company name, you will get a list of available referrers working in that company. You can select one of the referrers and request for referral. Kindly note that you need provide the correct Job Id and title in the field provided on the request page. There is also a provision to write a brief message on the request page which can help you to introduce yourself.
  • 4. What happens once job seeker request for the Referral?

    You will get the response from the Referrer within 3 working days. If there is no response from the Referrer within 3 working days your request will get marked as 'ghosted'.
  • 5. Is there any capping on the number of referrals a job seeker can request?

    Yes. One can requests 10 referrals in any given week.
  • 6. Does the Ghosted request get counted in the weekly request count?

    Yes. However, you can claim this request back from the dashboard so that you do not lose the allotted number of requests.
  • 7. As a Job Seeker, how do I check the status of my referral requests?

    Simply head to your dashboard where you can view and manage all your requested referrals.
  • 8. Can a job seeker raise multiple requests multiple referrals in the same company at the same time?

    No. One cannot raise multiple referral requests in the same company. If one has raised a request in XYZ company and it is still open, then one needs to wait for the current request to get closed. This will ensure that there is no duplication of referrals in the same company.
  • 9. Does this portal advertise the job openings?

    No. Currently we are just facilitating the referral process.
  • 10. What does it mean when a referral request has is in 'Ghosted'?

    A 'Ghosted' status implies that no action has been taken on your referral request for a considerable amount of time. We recommend you apply for the job directly or seek another opportunity to increase your chances of placement. You can also opt to request new referral from the another Referrer available in the same company if you wish to.
  • 11. Referrer has accepted the referral request. What next?

    Congratulations! They'll likely proceed with the internal referral process in their company, and you should expect an email from the respective company regarding the referral. Once you receive this email, you can apply for the job by following the steps mentioned in the referral email.
  • 12. Why might the referral request get denied?

    Referral denials can be due to various reasons, such as mismatched qualifications, lack of relevant experience, or the referrer's personal discretion. Use this as feedback to refine your profile, CV, and approach. Also, despite of the referral request rejection, you still can go ahead and directly apply for the job on the respective company’s website.
  • 13. Can I use the same CV for different referral requests?

    While you can use a single CV, it's often beneficial to tailor your CV to specific roles. This increases the relevancy of your application and potentially boosts your chances of being matched. Hence, we advise you to upload the customised CV on the request page while requesting for the referral. Kindly note that, in case, you chose not to upload the updated CV on the request page then the CV used at the time of creation of your profile will be considered as default CV and it will be attached with your request.
  • 14. I forgot my password. How do I regain access to my account?

    Simply go to the Login page and click on 'Forgot Password'. Enter the email associated with your account, and a password reset link will be sent to you. Follow the link to set a new password and regain access.
  • 15. What should I do if I face technical issues on the platform?

    Reach out to our support team detailing the issues you're facing. They're equipped to assist with technical glitches and will ensure your experience on the platform remains seamless. You can reach out to our team by writing them at support@Refermeet.com. Also, you can raise ticket on the portal itself by signing in to your account and visiting Help section.

    No specific prerequisites are required. Whether you're a fresh graduate, an experienced professional, or someone looking to refer potential candidates or seeking job referrals, Referemeet welcomes all. Simply ensure you have a valid email address and, for job seekers, a ready-to-upload CV.
  • 22. As a Referrer, I've confirmed a referral. What are the next steps?

    Once you've confirmed a referral, it means you're willing to put the candidate's name forward in your company. Proceed with your company's internal referral process and come back to the Refermeet portal mark the request as confirmed. This will help job seeker to know that he or she has been referred to the job they have requested for.
  • 23. As a Referrer, can I communicate with job seekers directly?

    Yes, you can chat with the job seeker by using the messaging system on the portal. Also one can schedule a virtual meeting through portal itself and have a direct conversation with the job seeker. It is advisable to keep the interaction with the job seekers within the portal to avoid any disturbances in your daily routine while still continuing to actively help the job seekers.
  • 24. Can I block someone or mark as spam?

    Yes, one can mark a profile as a spam and / or block the concerned person if required. However, one should use this option very responsibly to maintain the integrity of the platform and keeping the genuine intent of the Refermeet in mind.
  • 25. As a Referrer, I want to temporarily stop receiving referral requests. How can I do that?

    Simply navigate to your account settings page. From there, you can opt out of receiving referral requests for a set period or until you choose to reactivate.
  • 26. As a Referrer, how do I access and use the Refermeet to find suitable candidates?

    After verifying your email as a referrer, you can access the Refermeet to browse through candidate profiles. You can request to refer any candidate that fits your company's needs.
  • 27. As Referrer, can I decline a referral request?

    Absolutely. If you believe a candidate isn't the right fit or if you have reservations, you can decline the referral request. It's always best to act in the best interest of your company and the candidate.
  • 28. Is there any time limit to respond to a request?

    Yes, you need to respond to a request within 3 working days. Else the request will get marked as 'Ghosted'.
  • 29. What if the Referrer leaves the current company?

    If you change companies, it's crucial to update your details on Refermeet by editing the relevant sections in your profile on Refermeet. While one can't refer for their previous company, once they update their association with their new company, they can start receiving referral requests for them.
  • 30. As a Referrer, I have concerns about a specific candidate. What should I do?

    Your comfort and the integrity of the referral process are paramount. If you have concerns, it's best to decline the referral request and provide feedback in the field provided, ensuring the platform remains trustworthy for all parties.
